"All we are is what we leave behind when we're gone. Don't fear death, fear being forgotten" -Dewdrop
Who is Andrew Aitken?
Greetings! My given name is Andrew, but I prefer to go by Drew or Dewdrop, depending on how we're acquainted.
While I won't delve into my entire life story, this section should give you a glimpse of who I am.
I hail from Toronto but grew up in the Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada. Over the years, I've explored various pursuits, but my identity as a dreamer has remained steadfast. Rather than amassing material possessions, I seek out enriching experiences.
I strive to make the most of my time on this earth, which is why I tend to dabble in many different areas of interest.
Whether I'm writing, making music, or pursuing other forms of self-expression, I hope that my legacy will live on after I'm gone.

What is your Biggest Accomplishment?
While it may not fit the traditional definition of an accomplishment, I believe that watching my daughter grow has taught me more than anything else in life. As her father, I've never once doubted my love for her, and being present for her every day is my proudest achievement.
As far as my professional life goes, my biggest accomplishment has been transitioning from a fallback career in Construction to a job that I'm truly passionate about. I wake up each day feeling grateful for the opportunity to pursue my dreams through this website, music, podcasts, and other creative endeavors. These are the things that give my life meaning and purpose, and I feel fortunate to be able to do what I love every day.

So, What's your Current Career?
It's a tricky question, but I believe my true calling is to help others break free from the constraints of societal expectations and pursue their dreams. My ultimate goal is to empower everyone to live their best life, without feeling trapped in a career or lifestyle that doesn't fulfill them.
I speak from experience, as I myself have a trades degree that I never ended up using because I settled for a fallback career. However, I have no regrets about making a change and following my passion, even though it took me a decade to get here. Now, I earn a living doing work that challenges and inspires me, while also making a positive impact on the world. I want to encourage others to do the same, whatever industry they choose to pursue. Life is too short to settle for something that leaves you feeling unfulfilled, and I believe that everyone has the potential to make a meaningful contribution to society in their own unique way.

What is Written Rock?
Out of all the companies I've founded, Written Rock stands as the mother company – the foundation upon which all the others are built. Since its inception in 2013, our motto has been A Solid Foundation for Generations to Come.
Today, Written Rock is a tangible entity that serves as the backbone of all our endeavors.
Whether it's Audioh, WatSythe, KNUX, BeCreative, or any of our other divisions, I'm immensely proud of the ways we're helping people pursue their dreams. To you, the reader, I want to emphasize that it's never too late to change course and pursue a career that brings you joy. I speak from personal experience – it can be done, and you have the power to make it happen.
I digress – our companies are poised to make a real difference in the world, one person at a time. We believe in providing practical solutions that enable people to live their best lives, without sacrificing their happiness or well being. We're excited about the possibilities that lie ahead, and we look forward to continuing to empower others through our work.

What first inspired you to Write on Rock?
I've always had a passion for writing poetry, and after assembling a collection of my work, I decided to pursue publishing. I initially intended to publish a solo anthology, but after reaching out to some friends, we collaborated on a book called Leaves of the Poet Tree. As we embarked on the journey to get our book published, I quickly became disillusioned with the publishing industry. It seemed to be driven more by profit than by a love of literature, and I felt that many talented writers were being overlooked as a result. That's when I had the idea to create the Poet Tree – a platform that would be the antithesis of the mainstream publishing industry. In short, I realized that in this modern age, it's easier than ever to start your own publishing company and market yourself. I wanted to create a space where everyone could access the resources they need to pursue their writing dreams, regardless of their background or level of experience. I believe that everyone has a story to tell, and I want to make it possible for those stories to be heard. Ultimately, my goal is to democratize the publishing industry and provide a welcoming home for writers of all stripes.
So you Made a Book, that Formed a Group, that Started a Business?
Absolutely! Written Rock has grown into a dynamic and expansive organization, with over 15 different divisions and counting. While books remain an important part of what we do, we've expanded far beyond that narrow focus.
Today, Written Rock is a multi-media entertainment organization that encompasses every facet of the industry. Our goal is to strengthen the literary world while also bridging the gap between traditional and modern forms of entertainment. At the heart of everything we do are our authors, whose talents and stories inspire us to push the boundaries of what's possible.
Of course, building a bridge between the literary and entertainment worlds is no easy feat, which is why we've diversified our offerings to include a wide range of services and platforms. From music and podcasts to film and television, our various divisions work together to create a cohesive and compelling entertainment experience. Whether you're a writer looking to publish your first book or an audience member seeking your next favorite show, Written Rock has something for everyone.

Tell me about Audioh Canada?
Our audio division is called Audioh Canada, although it's supposed to be AudiOh Canada. We'll eventually make the switch, but that's not the point. Audioh handles the audio aspects of our projects, such as podcasts and audiobooks. If you're interested in creating your own podcast, Audioh will provide you with the inspiration you need. With millions of podcasts available out there, why not dive into a sea of content? Note that music is handled by our KNUX division.
Do You Have a Podcast?
Leading by example is unfortunately necessary, so others can have the confidence to follow. When I started Audioh, I anticipated this challenge and planned a few engaging projects. Our first launch was the Project Dewdrop Podcast, and then the Poet Tree Podcast but we've already produced episodes for other exciting podcasts, including KNUX: A Hip Hop Podcast, Drew World Order, The Constellation, That 90's Podcast, and the Niagara Fallscast, and the newest being Hauntario.
Tell Me about the Project Dewdrop Podcast?
The main purpose of this podcast was for me to practice and improve my skills in podcasting, in order to bring you more professional and polished content in the future. While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, it holds a lot of personal value to me, which is why I decided to create it. I will use this platform to share my personal stories, talk about my current and future endeavors, and express my creative side through music and poetry. It's a great way for me to communicate with people I don't usually interact with and hopefully entertain them along the way. I also plan on using this as an opportunity to share content that I don't want to release without providing some context. Ultimately, this podcast is a fun outlet for me to put on a silly show, as you'll soon find out.

Wait a second, did you casually admit you're in the New World Order?
Well no, I'm part of the Drew World Order. It's just a silly name for the members of the CoA but I used it in regard to the
Drew World Order Podcast we have featured on Audioh Canada.

What Does CoA Stand for?
That would be the Council of Andrews.
- We are a global network of Andrews, Andys, Drews, and all whose first name derives from the Greek Root Name of Andreas.
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the Drewish Community achieve prosperity and self-actualization. We currently have a scholarship for youngdrews to go to school! Eventually, we want to have a full-ride scholarship. The goal is to provide such impactful benefits that we can send brochures to brochures to expecting parents explaining why they should name their child Andrew or Andrea. Our quest to enact the Drew World Order has begun. By forging an alliance between businesses across the country and around the world, we plan to build a lasting foundation that not only keeps money within the Drewish Community but also provides a network for skilled Drews to find employment opportunities, contributing to the financial and emotional well-being of Drewish people everywhere.
What's Your Favourite Podcast?
I don't really have a favorite podcast; each one holds its own significance, or I wouldn't have embarked on creating them.
Project Dewdrop serves as the foundation for all of this, providing me with a platform to share my story cohesively. However, my true passion lies in narrating the stories of others. It propels me forward, knowing that by doing so effectively, I can ignite inspiration in them, thereby contributing more passionate content to the world. Many talented individuals doubt their abilities, often needing someone to believe in them. I strive to unveil the greatness within their narratives.
Regarding the other podcasts, they are still in the developmental stages. While some episodes may have been released, the overarching strategies are still evolving, much like my experience with KNUX: A Hip Hop Podcast. I initially tested the waters with an episode in April, reaching out to artists to gauge interest. This endeavor blossomed into Audioh Canada's largest show, attracting an average of 20k listeners per episode during the summer of 2023, with peaks reaching 80k listeners. KNUX embodies the essence of all my passions, amalgamating them into a singular platform.
